Henry Chapman is an artist and writer.

He studied painting at The Cooper Union and Yale University, and fiction at Brooklyn College. Solo and 2-person exhibitions of his paintings have been presented by RAINRAIN, Kate Werble, T293, Labs Contemporary Art, and Rhona Hoffman. His writing and drawings have been published in The New Yorker, Hyperallergic, and The Brooklyn Review.

He was awarded a 2023-2024 Emerging Writer Fellowship at The Center for Fiction. His short story, Vernissage, was included in The Center for Fiction’s 2024 anthology.

He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Laura, where they co-run Guest Gallery.
