Henry Chapman is an artist and writer. His upcoming solo exhibition, “Reading About War,” opens April 25 at RAINRAIN in NYC.

He studied painting at The Cooper Union and Yale University. In 2023, he completed his MFA in fiction at Brooklyn College. That year he was award a 2023-2024 Emerging Writer Fellowship at The Center for Fiction. Solo and 2-person exhibitions of his paintings have been presented by Kate Werble Gallery, T293 Gallery, Labs Contemporary Art, and Rhona Hoffman Gallery. His writing and drawings have been published in The New Yorker, Hyperallergic, and The Brooklyn Review. Most recently, he was published in The Center for Fiction Emerging Writer Fellowship Anthology.

He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Laura, where they co-run Guest Gallery.
